With cutting-edge technology and an exclusive design, the Nomade combines robustness and comfort.
Marcopolo Motorhome, a division of Marcopolo S.A., has just presented the Nomade, its first 4×4 motorhome, during the Expo Motorhome 2024 in Pinhais. Designed to redefine the motorhome segment in South America, the vehicle combines safety, performance, and sophistication in a compact and robust shell.
The Nomade is pioneering in its conception for the local market: an integral motorhome that unites cabin and living area in a single structure, differing from traditional camper vehicles that are based on existing light commercial models. The uniform design not only improves aerodynamics and visibility, but also offers greater interior space and advanced amenities.
Among its distinguishing features, the motorhome runs on a motorhome-specific chassis, a Cummins F3.8 turbodiesel engine with 175 bhp, 4×4 traction with reduced gear, and a six-speed Allison automatic gearbox, providing robust performance for challenging terrains. The model is also equipped with mixed-use tyres and 17.5-inch wheels.
Inside, the Nomade combines sophistication with functional design. The interior space, which can be extended by up to 16 m² with the slide-out system (the side walls expand outwards to create more space), has a living room, full kitchen, and a private bedroom. Highlights include LED lighting, a decorative panoramic ceiling, 24-volt inverter air conditioning, and ergonomic swivelling armchairs.
The kitchen, developed in partnership with Tramontina, has a sink with bowl, gas cooker, a 216-litre fridge, and air purifier. The bathroom has a single-lever shower, a separate toilet, and a heated towel rail. For leisure time, there are TVs in the bedroom and lounge, as well as surround sound and 4G/5G connectivity via a satellite antenna.

Externally, Nomade emphasises its versatility. Equipped with a snorkel, manoeuvring lights, winch, and rear hitch, it is ideal for off-road adventures. The flexible solar panels generate up to 800 watts of energy, complementing the Victron lithium battery system, which has a 10-year warranty. The motorhome also has a rear luggage rack, enough to carry a motorbike or a few bicycles, as well as an external kitchen for added convenience.
The Nomade is already available to order, and prices start at around 1.6 million Brazillian reals or around £70,000 with the current exchange rates, depending on the configuration and accessories.
