2025 is the year of the Polestar 5, the almost 900 PS electric saloon. And we might learn more about the Polestar 7
According to Polestar, 2025 will be the best year in its history. With an increasingly comprehensive range, the Swedish manufacturer aims to become even more fierce against competitors such as BMW, Audi and Mercedes.
For sure, we will see a new model in 2025, but the news could also include some important previews of a Polestar expected in the coming years.
Derived from the Precept concept presented in 2020, the Polestar 5 is expected to arrive in the second half of 2025. It is a four-seat electric saloon with very sleek lines and an almost coupe-like rear end.

It will adopt anĀ 800-volt architecture for fast recharging (the exact figure for charging speed has not yet been released) and should be offered in rear- and all-wheel-drive versions. The most powerful models could reach 900 PS to allow the Polestar 5 to challenge rivals such as the Porsche Taycan and Tesla Model S in terms of performance.
Indeed, the Polestar 7 is expected to arrive between late 2026 and early 2027, but it is not out of the question that further previews of one of the Swedish manufacturer’s most eagerly awaited models will be given in 2025.
As announced by the brand, it will be a premium compact SUV and, although the dimensions are not precisely defined, we can expect a length of between 4.2 and 4.5 metres.
Given the close ties between Polestar and Volvo, the link with the EX30 is immediate, although the styling of the new model could be even sportier. In any case, production will take place in Europe to avoid duties on electric cars made in China.
